Work and Cancer: Have Your Say
ALK Positive Australia is sharing an opportunity from the Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre (Peter Mac) in Victoria. Peter Mac is inviting people affected by cancer to complete a short survey and, if keen, join an online focus group to help shape a program that supports getting back to work after treatment.
Why This Matters
Getting back to work can be a big milestone—but it’s not always straightforward. Fatigue, brain fog, side effects and the juggle of appointments can make the path bumpy. This survey aims to capture what helps and what gets in the way, so the support is practical and grounded in real experience.
What’s Involved
- A quick 10‑minute survey covering:
- Work and employment challenges
- Needs and support priorities
- Options for a return‑to‑work support program
- Optional 60‑minute online focus groups with the project team
- Expressions of interest close 5pm Friday 16 January
How to Take Part
Scan the QR code in PDF flyer or click on this link button below to fill out the survey and/or register for a focus group before the deadline. If you have questions, the Senior Project Officer Daniel Frattaroli can assist with his email in the PDF Flyer.
A Friendly Note
This opportunity is organised and run by Peter Mac in Victoria. ALK Positive Australia is simply sharing the invitation with our community—we’re not collecting responses or participant data. Any information you provide goes directly to Peter Mac and is managed under their processes and policies.
ALK Positive Australia encourages anyone who feels comfortable to add their voice—the more we share, the better the support for getting back to work after a cancer diagnosis.
